What is the i-Nov Competition?
The i-Nov Innovation Competition aims to support innovation projects with particularly strong potential for the French economy It is operated by Bpifrance and theADEME. Projects by start-ups and SMEs with a view to becoming leaders in their field with an international dimension are particularly sought after in this competition.
This call for projects has been recurring for the past 6 years, with 2 application rounds per year. The 11th
La 15e wave of the i-Nov Innovation Contest should open in the coming weeks.
The i-Nov Competition usually provides funding of 35% to 45% of the cost of your project in 2 forms:
- 60% in subsidies,
- 40% recoverable advances.

How to apply for the i-Nov competition
Since last yearit there is no longer a PowerPoint file to provide in pre-filing : you'll need submit a complete file including a Word file to present the project and a detailed financial appendix.
What are the eligibility criteria?
- Company : French start-ups and SMEs
- Individual project whose tax base expenditure is between €1 and €5 million
- Project duration : between 12 and 36 months
- Themes : Digital ; Health ; Transport & mobilitysustainable cities and buildings; energiesnatural resources and environments
- Character innovation, economic impact and environmental performance of the project

What if I'm not eligible for i-Nov?
