The call for projects Generic i-Demo n\u00b05<\/strong>, as part of the France 2030 plan, is a major lever for innovation funding<\/strong> for industrial and service companies developing research, development and innovation (R&D&I)<\/strong> with a strong economic, technological and environmental impact.<\/p>

This scheme is designed to support companies throughout the entire innovation cycle, from the early stages of industrial research through to the advanced stages of technological development and pre-industrialization.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

i-Demo 5 call for projects: objectives and scope of the scheme<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The aim of the i-D\u00e9mo 5 call for projects is to sustainably strengthen french scientific, technological and industrial capabilities<\/strong>, while actively contributing to energy, ecological and digital transitions<\/strong>.<\/p>

It supports the development of particularly innovative products and services<\/strong>, high value-added products designed to address strategic markets<\/strong> and structure industrial sectors.<\/p>

In concrete terms, i-D\u00e9mo 5 can be used to finance :<\/p>

  • Projects for industrial research (IR)<\/strong> ;<\/li>
  • Projects for experimental development (ED)<\/strong> ;<\/li>
  • Pre-industrial demonstrators, prototypes or pilots; ;<\/li>
  • Projects aimed at market launch<\/strong> or industrialization in the medium term.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t

    What kinds of projects are expected to be launched under i-D\u00e9mo 5?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Projects must meet minimum requirements in terms of budget, technological maturity and industrial ambition<\/strong>.<\/p>

    Expected projects include<\/p>

    • A expense base<\/strong> :
      • Greater than 2 M\u20ac<\/strong> for single-partner projects (SMEs only),<\/li>
      • Greater than 4 M\u20ac<\/strong> for collaborative projects ;<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Positioning on work that will enable us to move from a Initial TRL between 3 and 6<\/strong> to a Target TRL of 7 to 8<\/strong>, where this scale is applicable ;<\/li>
      • A clear perspective of value creation<\/strong>, competitiveness and sector structuring.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        Single-partner projects are strictly reserved for SME<\/strong>.<\/p>

        Main conditions:<\/p>

        • Company registered in France (RCS) on the date of filing ;<\/li>
        • SMEs only<\/strong> eligible as an individual carrier ;<\/li>
        • The ETI and large companies<\/strong> cannot carry out individual projects.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          Collaborative projects<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
          \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

          i-D\u00e9mo 5 also supports projects initiated by consortia<\/strong> involving industrial players and research partners.<\/p>

          Collaborative projects must :<\/p>

          • Associate at least one SME or ETI<\/strong> ;<\/li>
          • Gather up to 6 partners maximum<\/strong> (excluding specific European projects) ;<\/li>
          • Identify a lead company<\/strong> ;<\/li>
          • Integrate, where appropriate, one or more end users<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>

            Particular attention is paid to emerging players<\/strong> and to projects with strong industrial structuring potential.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

            Ecological transition and societal impact: a central evaluation criterion<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
            \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

            Taking environmental and social issues into account is a key priority for the determining factor<\/strong> in the selection of i-Demo 5 projects.<\/p>

            Each project must demonstrate its contribution by presenting the effects of the project on the environment. quantified as far as possible<\/strong>, positive or negative, on the following axes:<\/p>

            • Mitigation and adaptation to climate change ;<\/li>
            • Ecodesign and carbon footprint over the entire life cycle ;<\/li>
            • Transition to a circular economy; ;<\/li>
            • Pollution prevention and reduction ;<\/li>
            • Protecting biodiversity and ecosystems; ;<\/li>
            • Societal impact.<\/li><\/ul>

              These elements can influence both the project selection<\/strong> and the level of public intervention granted<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              How can i-D\u00e9mo 5 be financed?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
              \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

              Maximum aid rates vary according to :<\/p>

              • The company size<\/strong> ;<\/li>
              • The type of work<\/strong> ;<\/li>
              • The character collaborative or not<\/strong> of the project.<\/li><\/ul>

                In general :<\/p>

                • The aid takes the form of a grant<\/strong> completed by a repayable advance<\/strong> ;<\/li>
                • The subsidy portion is 50 % in the general case<\/strong> ;<\/li>
                • No aid under 500 000 \u20ac<\/strong> is granted to large companies and ETIs, unless an exception is justified.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                  • February 24, 2026<\/li>
                  • May 19, 2026<\/li>
