{"id":295348,"date":"2025-10-06T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/group-gac.com\/?p=295348"},"modified":"2026-02-17T16:59:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T15:59:47","slug":"mener-audit-paie-charges-sociales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/group-gac.com\/en\/audit-payroll-and-social-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Why conduct a payroll and social security audit?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"295348\" class=\"elementor elementor-295348\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-16f828c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"16f828c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-00ab64a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"00ab64a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Companies don't always reflexively carry out a payroll and social security audit, but are delighted when it's over.<\/p><p>Performing an audit is essential for a number of reasons, which we'll explain in detail below.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10c7a83 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"10c7a83\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19e681c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"19e681c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The first reason to carry out a payroll and social security audit: the 2024 URSSAF audit results<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-04ecf0b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"04ecf0b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a4b44d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1a4b44d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #3687c4;\"><a style=\"color: #3687c4;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.urssaf.org\/files\/Ressources%20documentaires\/RA\/RA24_URSSAF.pdf\">URSSAF's annual activity report, for <strong>the year 2024<\/strong>published in August 202<\/a>5<\/span>\u00a0gives the following assessment of the controls carried out:<\/p><ul><li>URSSAF controls have led to the regularization of 890 million euros (+11 % compared with 2023),<\/li><li>including 734 million euros in reassessments owed by companies,<\/li><li>and 156 million euros in refunds to companies that had overpaid Urssaf.<\/li><\/ul><p>Faced with these very high amounts of reassessments, increased vigilance in the application of laws and regulations is imperative, but payroll teams don't always have the time for this.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-95ea0b0 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"95ea0b0\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0d11cad elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0d11cad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Second reason to carry out a payroll and social security audit: the regulatory context <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bad5640 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"bad5640\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f41554a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f41554a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As you intuitively know, France's normative activity is dense. A report by Senators DEVINAZ, MOGA and RIETMANN in 2023 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.senat.fr\/rap\/r22-743\/r22-7432.html#toc10\">\"Normative sobriety to strengthen the competitiveness of companies\".<\/a> confirmed this intuition with factual elements:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>France has 400,000 applicable standards,<\/li><li>1,786 regulatory decrees were passed in 2022,<\/li><li>The number of words per law between 2002 and 2021 rose from 322,639 to 591,595 (an increase of 83 %).<\/li><\/ul><p>Faced with this normative context, according to our estimates, payroll departments would have to spend 600 hours a year reading the news!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a7b470 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0a7b470\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-13572da elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"13572da\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Third reason to carry out a payroll and social security audit: the context of payroll teams<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c9bc132 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c9bc132\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-95c85e4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"95c85e4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The payroll department is at the heart of the company's reactor and plays a strategic role. What would a company do without a payroll team, or with one that was failing? Incorrect DSNs, unpaid or incorrectly paid wages...<\/p>\n<p>In spite of everything, the payroll teams are present and committed, whatever the cost. These payroll teams whose role is not \"simply\" to press a button!<\/p>\n<p>Payroll teams are therefore highly sensitive within an organization. The day-to-day work of these teams, combined with the vagaries of replacements, stoppages, entries\/exits, etc., makes updating knowledge and practices a complex task.<\/p>\n<p>This is precisely why a payroll audit is so useful.
