Guiding society's transformation towards sustainable development

Project description

VALORADA is a project funded by the European Commission as part of the HORIZON EUROPE program. Its aim is to strengthen European regions and cities so that they can lead the societal transformation towards sustainable, climate-resilient development through their own initiatives. The project is part of the EU's adaptation mission, which aims to convert 150 European regions into sustainable, climate-resilient territories by 2030.

Fostering gender-based open innovation

Project description

GILL is establishing a pan-European learning center based on Living Lab principles to foster gender-focused open innovation. It focuses on four main objectives: fostering cultural and organizational change, enhancing professional development, integrating gender and diversity into innovation, and promoting inclusive educational practices. GILL is conducting 15 experiments in 8 European countries to develop new approaches, evaluate changes and validate results. Through iterative co-creation cycles, GILL will provide methodologies, services and tools for gender-sensitive open innovation, accessible via a collaborative platform. G.A.C. Group is leading the co-creation and development of the GILL platform, including needs analysis, co-creation workshops and community of practice development across Europe.

Developing a personalized prevention roadmap for the future of healthcare

Project description

The aim of the PROPHET project is to co-create with stakeholders such as patients and healthcare professionals a personalized prevention roadmap for tomorrow's healthcare. This will support the definition and implementation of innovative, sustainable and high-quality personalized strategies, particularly effective in the prevention of chronic diseases. The G.A.C. Sophia-Antipolis team offered the coordinator proposal guidance, support and punctual follow-up, in the unexpected absence of the coordinator for medical reasons. It also offered a methodological approach to the co-creation and exploitation of research results.

Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration on technologies

Project description

The NGI Enrichers project aims to be the gateway from the European Union to the USA and Canada for innovators in the "Next Generation Internet (NGI)" field. Through the implementation and agile management of a transatlantic fellowship program. NGI Enrichers will strengthen existing collaborative links between European and American innovators and forge new ones, while developing a brand new collaborative network of innovators and researchers between the EU and Canada. Up to 90 European innovators will be offered the opportunity to spend 3 to 6 months in the USA or Canada.

Promoting and developing Aragon's circular economy

Project description

The Resource project aims to develop innovative business models to attract private investors to finance circular economy projects. Nine companies in Spain's Aragon region will receive technical, financial and administrative support to strengthen their business models and attract private investors, with the aim of raising €20 million by 2026. The project involves collaboration between local and European partners, with the aim of promoting the adoption of the circular economy in the region. It is based on a project development approach that reduces risk for investors and promotes learning. Nine pilot projects will seek to raise funds for a total investment of €20 million, drawing on European best practice.

Facilitating the purchase of solutions for adapting to climate change

Project description

The PROTECT project supports the preparation of a pre-commercial procurement procedure for innovative solutions based on environmental observation data. It aims to strengthen the market for climate services to meet the needs of adaptation, mitigation and resilience to climate change. The five application areas include services of general interest, green communities, circular and bio-based economy, land use and marine environment, as well as security and civil protection.

Developing a new space technology

Project description

CARIOQA-PMP aims to prepare for the deployment of a Quantum Pathfinder mission (a space mission designed to test and demonstrate quantum technologies in space) within the next decade. This is a crucial environmental, technological and strategic challenge for Europe. The project contributes to the EU's goal of independence and to the ambitions of the European Commission's Green Deal. G.A.C. Group oversees the communication and impact strategy, sharing information with a wide community, and facilitates the engagement of a variety of stakeholders, including scientists, industrialists and space agencies. It also monitors long-term results and assesses the impact of proposed technologies at EU level, while supporting CNES as coordinator for official reports.

Controlling water management and sanitation in India

Project description

This project enabled :
a) The design and production of an innovative chemical sensor to monitor water quality in India, reducing the cost of sensors by at least 10 times.
b) The development of a software platform to improve water management, integrating off-line and on-line tools.
c) Deployment of the LOTUS solution in various contexts, covering the entire water value chain in India.
d) Business model planning to ensure the availability of advanced but affordable products after the project.
e) Promoting social innovation by fostering cooperation with local players and having a lasting impact on water quality in India.
