FAQ - Work accident
What is a CTN?
The CTN (National Technical Committee) is a body of the Assurance Maladie - Risques Professionnels that defines prevention policies and pricing rules for a specific sector of activity. It groups companies by professional branch in order to harmonize the management of risks linked to accidents at work and occupational illnesses (AT/MP).
Why is my contribution rate rising while the number of work accidents is falling?
Increasing your AT/MP contribution rates is often explained by the severity of accidents rather than by volume. If your claims result in longer work stoppages or permanent disability (PD), the average costs for your sector or company increase, which has a direct impact on your pricing, even if the frequency of accidents decreases.
How often are workplace accident data updated?
The Assurance Maladie - Risques Professionnels annual report is updated every year. This national report compiles all accident data (frequency, severity, fatalities) by sector of activity, enabling companies to compare their occupational safety performance with national averages.
How can I find out which CTN my company belongs to?
To find out your CTN attachment, consult your AT/MP contribution rate notification sent annually by CARSAT or available on your AT/MP account (net-entreprises.fr). This information is also specified on your rate calculation sheets. The CTN is determined according to your main activity (NAF code).
