What is the CORIFER call for expressions of interest?

The AMI CORIFER is based on the rail industry's R&D roadmap to identify projects that will have a transformative effect on the industry. Projects must therefore be in line with the roadmap's priorities:

  • Axis 1: Trains with very low environmental impact
  • Priority 2: Efficient and inclusive everyday mobility
  • Area 3: Digitization of rail transport: vehicles, infrastructure and industry
  • Axis 4: Accelerating rail freight

Projects range from industrial research to the full-scale demonstrationand even seedswith real innovation challenges.

What are the AMI CORIFER eligibility criteria?

Projects individual or collaborativeThese are piloted by a company in the rail industry. 

For collaborative projects: maximum 6 partners in general.

Project budget :

  • Expenditure over €4m for R&D projects
  • Investment project: expenditure in excess of €5m 
  • Threshold lowered to €1.5 M for certain themes

Selection process and support

  • Support for competitiveness clusters and industry bodies during the application preparation phase
  • Successful projects will be directed to the most appropriate funding windows: i-Demo 3First plant and i-Nov or to thematic AAPs
  • SME projects >€1M and <€4M are oriented towards i-Nov
  • Equity financing can be mobilized as part of France 2030.
  • Suitability for public policy issues and dissemination will be considered.

Financing terms and conditions

  • Eligible expenses are Research & Development expenses
  • Funding will depend on the specifics of the PAA in question
  • The orientation process integrate projects into the mechanisms of the target PAAs without the need for a new initial deposit
