GAC Sophia starts working on common EU-China priorities in health research and innovation!

tGAC Sophia is delighted to strengthen her skills in the health fields as the main communication and dissemination partner of an international consortium under the recently launched and EU funded SENET cooperative project.

SENET aims to create a sustainable dialogue between EU and Chinese health research and innovation actors and to facilitate the participation of Chinese researchers in the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program of the European Union.

From April 15 to 16, 2019, representatives of GAC Sophia met their consortium partners in Shanghai during the project kick-off meeting, organized by the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center. The consortium has already assessed that implementing health in policy, strengthening health systems, preventing and treating disease as well as responding to global threats will be the main common challenges going forward. These priorities will be discussed and validated by experts in working groups, developing strategic recommendations and an action plan, thus improving collaboration and innovation in health research and innovation.

To address these challenges, the consortium has started to design services that will support the development of health partnership and collaboration between the EU and China, such as roadshows, call power partnerships and virtual ideation hackathons.

To learn more about the project, its objectives and expected results, as well as the services that will be offered, visit the SENET site!
