G.A.C Sophia starts work on joint EU-China priorities for health research and innovation!

G.A.C Sophia is delighted to reinforce its expertise in the healthcare field as the lead communication and dissemination partner of an international consortium in the recently launched EU-funded SENET cooperative project.

SENET aims to create a lasting dialogue between health research and innovation stakeholders in the EU and China, and to facilitate the participation of Chinese researchers in the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

From April 15 to 16, 2019, GAC Sophia representatives met their consortium partners in Shanghai at the project kick-off meeting organized by the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center. The consortium has already assessed that implementing health in policy, strengthening health systems, preventing and treating disease, and responding to global threats will be the main common challenges in the future. These priorities will be discussed and validated by experts in working groups, developing strategic recommendations and an action plan, enhancing collaboration and innovation in health research and innovation.

To meet these challenges, the consortium has begun designing services that will support the development of partnership and collaboration in healthcare between the EU and China, such as roadshows, call power partnerships and virtual ideation hackathons.
