The Mediterranean Sea Cluster is a French competitiveness cluster (large companies, SMEs, research institutes and universities), specializing in the emergence of innovative projects and the development of businesses to sustain the maritime and coastal economy of the Mediterranean basin.

Pôle Mer issues

As part of the European MISTRAL project, the Pôle Mer Méditerranée wanted to create new economic activities around floating offshore wind turbines.

Accompanying G.A.C. Group

The Pôle Mer Méditerranée was supported by G.A.C. Group in 2019 and 2020 for a period of 4 months.

Solutions provided by G.A.C. Group

  1. Understanding the problem, setting up the methodology, choosing activities

  2. Facilitation of a one-day creativity workshop for 20 professional participants from all backgrounds

  3. Training and support for each team in drawing up a business model and simplified business plan

  4. Coaching of each team for the presentation of a final pitch to a panel of professional members of the Cluster.

  5. Workshop and coaching summary and deliverables

Deliverables

  • File summarizing all workshop and coaching results (post-it walls, prioritization by vote, prototypes, recordings...)
  • Templates (project sheet, pitch and business model canvas) and training materials

What were the results?

  • Brainstorming results in 15 coactivity concepts
  • Prioritization of 6 of them, which then become projects led by multi-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary teams from among the 20 participants.
  • Construction of Business Model Canvas, project sheet and prototype for each of the 6 selected concepts
  • Formalization of a Pitch for each of the 6 projects to convince ecosystem stakeholders
