Launch of the YAKSHA project!

The European Commission (EC) recently approved the YAKSHA project, linked to the Horizon 2020 (H2020) program, which aims to strengthen cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the Association of South Asian Nations -Is (ASEAN) and establish partnerships in the field of cybersecurity.
The official launch took place on January 10, 2018 in Porto, Portugal. During the event, high-level discussions took place regarding cybersecurity issues and the future collaboration between the EU and ASEAN focused on research and economic development. The main scientific institutions, specialized in research and innovation, European and Asian, as well as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand in Portugal and representatives of the EC participated in this event.
The objective of the YAKSHA project is to strengthen EU-ASEAN cooperation as well as to establish partnerships in the field of cybersecurity by developing a program adapted to specific and national needs based on the know-how and expertise of the 'EU. The YAKSHA project will introduce and develop the concept of honeypots-as-a-service (bogus servers used as a defense system) which will greatly facilitate intelligence gathering on potential threats.
This project, which started in January 2018, will end in June 2020 and is coordinated by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (Portugal) in collaboration with seven other European partners. For its part, Inno TSD is in charge of the communication and dissemination component, and in particular of the interaction with the end user, the management of the website, the newsletter as well as the social networks.
