Agriculture: National strategy for accelerating the field

Sustainable and healthy food

The French food sector is facing major challenges linked to the increase in demography, the evolution of eating habits, the links between the quality of food and health, etc. And at the same time, the French agricultural and agri-food sector suffered a decrease in the number of export market shares between 2000 and 2015, mainly due to a drop in competitiveness.

“In this general context, the acceleration strategy will make it possible to better understand the relationship between food and health and to support the actors of the sectors for the development of a more sustainable and diversified food, while meeting the expectations of citizens. » SGPI, 2020

Sustainable agricultural systems and agricultural equipment contributing to the ecological transition

The agroecological and digital transition offers many opportunities to support sectors offering equipment and solutions for the agricultural sector, in order to design and manage sustainable agricultural systems.

The acceleration strategy targets both agricultural equipment and the deployment of digital technologies in agriculture (agricultural and livestock equipment, robotics, etc.), bio-inputs (biocontrol, biostimulants, biofertilization), genetic resources (animal and plant), as well as the combination of these different innovations. » SGPI, 2020
